Sunday 11th May 2014   by Dave W. and Roger S.

Both groups converged at noon at a kissing gate on the footpath east of Headley Church, to witness the dedication of a plaque on the gate commemorating Vincent Lee–Brown, who founded our club in 1951.

The gate and plaque.

Eileen Taylor, who joined Mid Surrey Ramblers at an early date, telling us of Vincent's exploits. We are approaching our 3000th Sunday walk, and Eileen gave us her best wishes for the next 3000 walks!
